13 Days Tanzania Safari & Beach Adventure

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will be warmly greeted by our guide. Transfer to Legendary Lodge in Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay.

Arusha, located at the foot of Mount Meru on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, is a temperate city in northern Tanzania. It serves as a gateway to some of Tanzania’s most iconic parks, including Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your guide will drive you to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing with picnic lunches. In the evening, settle in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Tarangire is a quiet gem in northern Tanzania, known for its large elephant populations, birdlife, and serene landscapes. Its seclusion offers a more intimate safari experience.

Day 3: Walking Safari & Game Drive in Tarangire

Start your day with a walking safari guided by an armed ranger. In the afternoon, continue exploring the park by vehicle, known for its towering baobab trees and iconic wildlife, including large elephant herds and tree-climbing lions. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. After lunch at the lodge, embark on an evening game drive.

The park is named after the Maasai “Manyara” plant, used by locals for building livestock enclosures. Known for its diverse ecosystems, Manyara is home to a variety of wildlife including the famous tree-climbing lions.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Enjoy breakfast before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Walk along the crater rim and admire stunning views before returning to your lodge for lunch.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour & Serengeti Transfer

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a day of game viewing. Explore Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake that attracts flamingos and other birdlife. In the afternoon, drive to Serengeti National Park for your overnight stay.

Day 7: Central Serengeti (Seronera)

Spend the day on a thrilling game drive through Seronera, the heart of the Serengeti, enjoying lunch in the bush. Serengeti National Park is renowned for its incredible wildlife, including the annual migration of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, as well as year-round game viewing.

Day 8: Serengeti Sunrise Safari

Rise early for a pre-dawn game drive, returning for lunch at camp. Spend the afternoon relaxing before embarking on another evening game drive. The Serengeti offers awe-inspiring sights of wildlife against the stunning African savannah backdrop.

Day 9: Serengeti to Zanzibar

After breakfast and a morning game drive, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Stone Town for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Stone Town & Spice Tour

After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of historic Stone Town. In the afternoon, transfer to Melia Zanzibar Hotel for dinner and overnight. Enjoy a special Spice Tour, learning about the cultivation and uses of Zanzibar’s famous spices, followed by an authentic lunch at a local home.

Day 11: Zanzibar Beach & Jozani Forest Option

After breakfast, relax on Zanzibar’s pristine beaches or opt for an excursion to Jozani Forest, home to the rare Red Colobus Monkeys and the unique mangrove ecosystem.

Day 12: Full Day Beach Relaxation

Spend a full day soaking in Zanzibar’s azure waters and white sandy beaches. The island’s northern beaches offer stunning vistas, with the tide revealing hidden coves and coral cliffs.

Day 13: Departure from Zanzibar

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight home, concluding your unforgettable Tanzania adventure.
