Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted and whisked away to your accommodations at the Kibo Palace Hotel. The day ends with a delightful dinner at the hotel, where you can relax and unwind before the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll set off for Tarangire National Park, arriving just in time for a sumptuous lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, an exciting game drive awaits, where you’ll encounter the park’s iconic landscapes—majestic baobab trees, rolling savannas, and lush acacia parklands. The park teems with wildlife, especially during the dry season between June and September. As the animals flock to the Tarangire River for water, you’ll witness a breathtaking migration of wildebeest, zebra, eland, hartebeest, and buffalo, all pursued by lions and leopards prowling close behind.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today, we journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, perched along the dramatic rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. In the afternoon, we’ll descend 600 meters into the crater—a natural amphitheater that spans 260 square kilometers. The crater is a stunning wildlife haven, home to a year-round population of lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and a diverse array of plains animals. This unique ecosystem makes the crater one of the natural wonders of the world.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park
The adventure continues as we head toward the Serengeti National Park, with a stop at the historic Olduvai Gorge along the way. This significant site, where Dr. Louis Leakey uncovered the remains of Homo habilis, marks one of the earliest steps in human evolution. In the afternoon, we will embark on a game drive through the vast Serengeti plains, where you’ll encounter over 35 species of wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and elands. You’ll also bear witness to one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles—the annual migration of over a million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, as they journey towards the Masai Mara in Kenya, with predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas following in their wake. Overhead, more than 500 species of birds fill the skies, adding to the park’s incredible biodiversity.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Karatu
After an early morning game drive through Serengeti’s golden plains, we’ll return to camp for a hearty breakfast. Later, we’ll depart for Karatu, stopping for a relaxing lunch at Acacia Luxury Camp before continuing to the charming Acacia Farm Lodge, where you’ll enjoy a peaceful evening with dinner and overnight accommodations.
Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
Our final day includes a morning game drive at Lake Manyara National Park, where the lake occupies 70% of the park’s 330 square kilometers. The park’s rich ecosystems range from groundwater forests to open grasslands and acacia woodlands, supporting a diverse array of wildlife, including the Big Five—lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, and buffaloes. Keep an eye out for the famous tree-climbing lions that lounge in the trees between the lake and the Great Rift Valley. Afterward, we’ll return to the lodge for lunch, before heading back to Arusha, bringing this unforgettable journey to a close.
